# GasFree Guide
Transfer USDD on TRON without TRX
GasFree lets you pay TRON network fees directly in USDD, eliminating the need to hold TRX or get Energy for transactions.
Please note: GasFree simplifies network payments by allowing you to pay fees directly in USDD instead of TRX. Standard network charges—including a one-time account activation fee and transaction fees—still apply and will be clearly shown on the confirmation screen before signing.
## 1. Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have:
* A supported wallet: Install or update TronLink, Guarda, Klever Wallet, or eDir to the latest version.
* A funded GasFree account: Ensure your GasFree wallet holds enough USDD to cover the transfer amount plus all applicable fees (activation and transaction fees).
* A valid receiving address: Confirm the destination address is on the TRON network.
## 2. Access Your GasFree Account
1\) In your wallet, click GasFree to access or generate your GasFree account.
2\) On the GasFree screen, you can view your wallet address, USDD balance, and transaction controls (Send / Receive).
Important: Your GasFree account functions separately from your general TRON wallet address.

## 3. Deposit USDD into GasFree
1\) From the GasFree home screen, select “Receive”.
2\) Copy the address or scan the QR code to transfer USDD from an exchange or another wallet.
Important: Your GasFree address is separate from your general TRON wallet. Always verify you are using your dedicated GasFree address.

## 4. Send USDD via GasFree
1\) On the GasFree home screen, select “Send”.
2\) Enter or scan the recipient's TRON address.
3\) Select USDD and specify the transfer amount.
Fee Breakdown:
First transfer: Includes a one-time account activation fee (1 USDD) plus the standard transaction fee (0.5 USDD).
Subsequent transfers: Only standard transaction fees apply.

## 5. Authorize and Broadcast
1\) Review the receiving address, amount, and fees, then click “Submit”.
2\) Sign the transaction as prompted. This signature grants the service provider permission to broadcast the transaction on-chain.
3\) Once submitted, your transaction will show as "Processing". You must wait for it to finish before initiating a new one.
4\) Once confirmed on the TRON blockchain, the transaction will be marked as completed.

## 6. View Transaction Records
Click the USDD token on the GasFree home screen to view your incoming and outgoing transaction history. You can also click on a specific transaction to review details including the transaction status, receiving address, and transaction hash.

## 7. FAQs
**1) Do I still pay fees when using GasFree?**
Yes. GasFree removes the need to hold TRX for gas, but transaction fees still apply and are paid directly in USDD.
**2) Is there a fee to create a GasFree wallet?**
No. Creating a GasFree wallet is free. The activation fee is only charged when you make your first transfer.
**3) Why do I need to deposit USDD into my GasFree wallet?**
Transfers and associated fees are deducted straight from your GasFree wallet balance, not your general TRON wallet.
**4) What is the fee structure for GasFree transfers?**
The standard transfer fee is 0.5 USDD. Unactivated wallets incur an additional 1 USDD activation fee on their first transfer. Always verify real-time fees on the confirmation screen.
**5) Where can I verify fees before completing a transfer?**
The final confirmation screen displays a complete fee breakdown—including the receiving address, transfer amount, and fees—before you sign.
**6) What happens if I deposit unsupported tokens into my GasFree wallet?**
Currently, GasFree only supports designated TRC-20 tokens. If you transfer an unsupported token, you can retrieve it to your standard wallet via the withdrawal page. Because this withdrawal is an on-chain action initiated by your general wallet, that wallet must hold sufficient TRX (and Energy/Bandwidth) for network fees.
**7) What should I do if a transaction gets stuck in "Processing"?**
Do not resubmit the transaction. Locate the transaction in your records, copy the transaction hash, and contact USDD support or your wallet provider.
## 8. Security Tips
* Only access GasFree through officially supported wallet applications.
* Verify the token (USDD), network (TRON), and the receiving address character-by-character before confirming.
* Never share your recovery phrase, private key, or wallet password with anyone.
